Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) carefully before using the Calow iOS application (“the App”). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Use of the App
Calow provides nutrition and calorie tracking tools, including AI-assisted features. You may use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
2. Not Medical Advice
Calow is a general wellness and self-tracking tool. It is not medical advice, not a substitute for professional dietary guidance, and not a diagnostic device. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant or nursing, or are treating an eating disorder.
3. AI Estimates
AI photo logging, barcode lookups, and coach responses are estimates. Calorie and macro values are approximate and may differ from actual consumption. Review and edit all AI-detected ingredients before saving.
4. Subscriptions
Calow Pro is available as a weekly ($4.99, with a 3-day free trial) or yearly ($39.99, no trial) auto-renewing subscription. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- The weekly free trial converts to paid at the end of the 3-day period unless cancelled beforehand.
- Refund requests are handled by Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Pro status persists on your Apple ID across devices.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
- Use the App to harass, defame, or harm others
- Submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or malicious
- Attempt to interfere with the App’s servers or systems
6. Intellectual Property
The App, its design, and content are the property of Calow and its licensors. You’re granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on devices you own or control.
7. Disclaimers
The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Calow is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.
9. Changes
We may modify these Terms. The “Last updated” date will reflect changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
